Ryan Gensel has recently joined our design team. He’s already begun posting on our blog and you’ll find him featured on episode 4 of the Planet Argon Podcast.

You’ll be hearing a lot more about Ryan in the near future.

We love to play ping pong. We don’t compete with each other. We just get up and head to the table. We’ll volley for a bit, talk about the project we’re working, and go back to our desk feeling refreshed.

Over the past several years, Gary has been introducing our team to football (soccer to us Yanks). We’ve been making it a regular thing to sneak over to the local Irish pub for lunchtime matches. On a personal level, I’ve become obsessed with watching Liverpool matches at 4:30am PST on Saturday mornings so that I can catch 12:30pm GMT matches.

Earlier today, our new friend and client Matthew Speakman from Spacewalk Creative joined us for a match. He admitted to having recently grown his own obsession with the sport.

We’re quickly getting the new studio organized. You’ll have to visit us sometime.

Pardon our dust… but we’ve been in the process of moving to a new studio in downtown Portland. After four years in our last building, we thought it was time to upgrade our digs. We now have a full kitchen, bath, and a nice view of a park across the street. Here are a few photos from our first days in the new space.

We recently had to take our puzzle apart. We’ll miss you!

Back in 2004, we started to add pins for each unique location where a customer was from. We stopped updating this board in 2005 and it had been hiding in a closet. We recently repurposed the cork board for something new but made sure we got a photo first. Perhaps you were one of our pins. :-)

We’re in the middle of an exciting change and we’ve had to take over the ping-pong table.

We started Planet Argon in 2002 and this was our first business card. The pyramid hasn’t been used in creative work since that era… perhaps it’s time to bring it back.
